What data we process
Visiting the website
When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data are processed by the server or hosting provider (e.g. IP address in truncated or full form, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, referrer). These data are used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. Legal basis: overriding interest in the secure operation of the website (art. 31 para. 1 FADP).
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Topic / subject
- Message content
- technical metadata for abuse prevention (submission timestamp)
Purpose: handling your enquiry and any follow-up communication. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures or contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
The message is delivered to us by email. We use Resend (processor) for technical delivery. Recipients are the relevant people at Alpine Ascent GmbH and — to the extent required for delivery — Resend.
Retention: enquiries and related emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and any evidence, and at most in line with statutory retention duties.
Direct email contact
If you write to info@alpine-ascent.ch, the personal data contained in the email are processed to handle your request.
Cookies and tracking
This website currently uses no non-essential cookies and no marketing or analytics tracking (e.g. Google Analytics). Technically necessary session or security mechanisms may run without consent.
If we later introduce optional analytics or marketing tools, we will update this notice and — where required — obtain your consent.
Display preference storage
Your light/dark theme choice may be stored locally in your browser (localStorage). This value does not leave your browser and is not transmitted to us.
Recipients and processors
Data may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (website operation)
- Email delivery service (Resend) for contact enquiries
- IT service providers as required for operation and security
Transfers abroad take place only where adequate data protection is ensured or statutory requirements are met.
Your rights
Under the FADP you have, in particular, the following rights:
- Access to personal data processed about you
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure or restriction of processing
- Objection to processing
- Data portability
